Rocky Mountain Gastroenterology Associates agreed to settle claims tied to a September 2024 data breach that allegedly exposed patient information. The lawsuit accused the provider of failing to implement reasonable cybersecurity safeguards, putting patients at risk of identity theft and fraud.

Eligible individuals can claim up to $1,000 for documented losses related to the breach. All class members are also eligible for two years of free credit and medical identity monitoring.

2. Husqvarna Grass Trimmer Settlement

Husqvarna resolved claims that certain gas powered grass trimmers contained a defect in the ignition module that could create a fire hazard. The lawsuit alleged the company sold affected models without adequately warning consumers.

Owners who complete a free recall repair through an authorized dealer can receive a $45 voucher, along with extended warranty coverage on the trimmer and ignition module.

3. Mindpath Health Data Breach Settlement – $3.5M

Mindpath Health agreed to a settlement after patients alleged their personal and medical information was exposed during email account breaches in 2022. The lawsuit claimed the provider failed to implement basic security measures that could have prevented unauthorized access.

Class members may seek reimbursement for losses, compensation for time spent addressing the breach, or choose free credit monitoring. California residents may also receive an additional statutory payment.

4. Cigna Out-of-Network Misclassification Settlement – $1.07M

Cigna settled claims that it incorrectly identified certain out of network providers as in network under its LocalPlus plans. Patients allegedly relied on these explanations of benefits and later received unexpected balance bills.

5. NaturaLawn TCPA Settlement – $500K

NaturaLawn agreed to settle claims that it sent marketing text messages to consumers who had already opted out. The lawsuit alleged these messages violated federal telemarketing laws.

Eligible consumers may receive up to $217 for each unwanted text message, depending on the number of valid claims submitted.

6. Fathom Realty TCPA Settlement – $2.85M

Fathom Realty resolved claims that a former agent sent repeated promotional text messages to consumers whose phone numbers were listed on the National Do Not Call Registry. Plaintiffs alleged the messages violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

7. Dakota Eye Institute Data Breach Settlement  – $1M

Dakota Eye Institute settled claims that a 2023 cyber incident exposed sensitive patient information, including Social Security numbers. The lawsuit alleged the provider failed to adequately protect patient data.

Affected individuals can claim up to $1,000 for ordinary losses, up to $5,000 for identity theft related damages, or choose a $45 cash payment without documentation. Credit monitoring is also available.

8. Anthem Mental Health Treatment Settlement – $12.88M

9. Google, YouTube Kids Privacy Settlement – $30M

10. JustFab, ShoeDazzle & FabKids VIP Settlement – $4.8M

TFG Holdings reached a multistate settlement over allegations that its VIP subscription programs enrolled consumers in recurring charges without clear disclosure. Many customers were unaware they had joined subscription plans and faced difficulties canceling.

Eligible consumers in participating states will receive automatic refunds. Those with unresolved issues may submit additional complaints for review by the company or their state attorney general.
