TFG Holdings, the parent company of JustFab, ShoeDazzle, and FabKids, has reached a $4.8 million multistate settlement with 33 attorneys general over allegations that it misled consumers through its VIP membership programs.
According to the attorneys general, consumers were often automatically enrolled in recurring monthly charges—typically $49.95—without clear disclosure or consent. Many shoppers were unaware they had joined a subscription program and found it difficult to cancel, leading to unexpected charges.
The settlement includes $3.8 million in automatic refunds for affected consumers and $1 million in penalties and costs to participating states.
Consumers who joined a VIP program before May 31, 2016, and made a single purchase without further interaction (such as skipping months or redeeming credits), will receive refunds automatically.
Consumers with additional complaints not already resolved through the automatic refund process can submit a request to TFGHoldingResolutions@jfbrands.com or to their state attorney general’s office no later than January 30, 2026.
In addition to monetary relief, TFG Holdings agreed to several business practice changes, including:
These reforms are intended to ensure that customers are fully informed and in control of their subscription experience.
