This $3 million settlement resolves claims brought by the Office of the Attorney General of Illinois (OAG) against Greenridge Farm, Inc. The lawsuit alleged that Greenridge Farm failed to properly compensate its workers, including the failure to pay overtime wages as required by Illinois law. The claims arose from a joint investigation conducted by the OAG and the U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division (WHD). The OAG and WHD have now reached a settlement with Greenridge Farm to address these violations.
This settlement aims to compensate eligible workers for unpaid wages and overtime in accordance with Illinois law. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you are encouraged to participate in this settlement regardless of your immigration status. Eligible workers can receive up to four settlement payments scheduled between July 17, 2024, and November 19, 2025. The amount each claimant receives will depend on the wages and compensation they are owed. Workers should have received a payment estimate with their settlement notice.
