Workit Health has agreed to a $578,680 settlement to resolve claims it failed to warn users their website activity and protected health information might be shared with third parties like Google.

The lawsuit alleges that Workit Health used third-party technologies on its website that collected and shared user activity, potentially compromising sensitive medical data. Plaintiffs claim this violated users’ privacy rights.

Workit Health denies any wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement to avoid further litigation.
