Individuals who received calls from Walden University after requesting not to be called since June 6, 2018 (nationwide) or July 1, 2021 (Florida residents specifically) are eligible for settlement benefits.

Walden University has agreed to a settlement to resolve claims that it violated federal and state telemarketing laws by making unsolicited calls to consumers who had requested not to be contacted. The lawsuit alleged that Walden University made repeated calls despite consumers being on the National Do Not Call Registry.

Walden University denied any wrongdoing but agreed to a settlement to compensate affected consumers.

Settlement benefits are as follows:

Florida Residents: Eligible individuals who received unsolicited calls to a Florida number can receive a payment of $400.
Non-Florida Residents: Eligible individuals who received unsolicited calls to a non-Florida number can receive a payment of $97.50.

To receive a settlement payment, you must submit a valid claim form by September 28, 2024.
