A class action lawsuit alleged that Onsite Mammography failed to implement reasonable cybersecurity measures, which allegedly allowed hackers to gain unauthorized access to sensitive patient information in a 2024 data breach. Plaintiffs contended that the company's alleged negligence led to the compromise of personal and medical data. While Onsite Mammography has not admitted any wrongdoing, the company agreed to settle the claims for $2.525 million. Class members who submit a valid claim may be eligible to receive one or more of the following benefits:
• Reimbursement for documented out-of-pocket expenses: You may receive up to $5,000 for unreimbursed costs, losses, or expenditures that can be reasonably tied to the data breach, such as bank fees, credit monitoring costs, or identity theft-related expenses. Supporting documentation is required.
• Pro rata cash payment: You may also receive a proportional cash payment from the remaining settlement fund, though the exact amount will depend on the number of valid claims submitted and cannot be guaranteed.
• Three years of free credit and medical data monitoring: Eligible claimants may receive complimentary credit and medical data monitoring services for three years.
• $1 million in identity theft insurance: Eligible claimants may also receive up to $1 million in identity theft insurance coverage.
Actual payout amounts are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Individual awards will vary based on documented losses and the total number of valid claims filed.
