Marshall & Melhorn LLC has agreed to an $800,000 settlement to resolve allegations that it failed to protect consumer data during a data breach in August–September 2021. The breach reportedly compromised sensitive personal information, including names, Social Security numbers, and financial data.
Plaintiffs claim that the law firm’s failure to safeguard this data caused damages, such as identity theft and fraud. Marshall & Melhorn denies any wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement to resolve the claims.
