Individuals in the United States who:

• Had their personal information compromised in the August–September 2021 Marshall & Melhorn data breach.
• Received a mailed data breach notification about the incident.

Documentation is required for claims of out-of-pocket expenses, including:

• Statements
• Receipts
• Bills or invoices
• Tax documents
• Financial letters

Marshall & Melhorn LLC has agreed to an $800,000 settlement to resolve allegations that it failed to protect consumer data during a data breach in August–September 2021. The breach reportedly compromised sensitive personal information, including names, Social Security numbers, and financial data.

Plaintiffs claim that the law firm’s failure to safeguard this data caused damages, such as identity theft and fraud. Marshall & Melhorn denies any wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement to resolve the claims.

Eligible class members may receive:

1. Pro Rata Cash Payment:

   • Estimated to be $70 per class member but may vary based on the number of claims filed and available funds.

2. Reimbursement for Documented Expenses:

   • Up to $5,000 for unreimbursed out-of-pocket expenses, including:
     • Fraud or identity theft losses
     • Professional fees
     • Credit freeze/unfreeze costs
     • Credit monitoring expenses

Submit a valid claim form with supporting documentation by the Dec. 23, 2024, deadline to receive payment.
