Air Methods has agreed to a $240,000 settlement to resolve allegations that a November 2023 data breach compromised sensitive patient information. Plaintiffs allege that the breach, which involved the theft of a laptop by a criminal third party, exposed patient data due to inadequate cybersecurity measures.
Air Methods, a provider of air ambulance services, denies wrongdoing but has agreed to settle to resolve the claims.
