Sealy Thread Count Settlement: $750K

Anyone in the U.S. who purchased Sealy 1,250 thread count bedding products, including sheets and pillowcases, between October 19, 2016, and October 30, 2025.

Not required for up to 8 products. For more than 8, proof is needed (receipt, credit card statement, etc.).

American Textile Co. has agreed to a $750,000 class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims it falsely advertised the thread count of its Sealy bedding products.

The lawsuit alleges that the company misled consumers by marketing certain Sealy products—such as Sealy Ultimate Indulgence, Premium Comfort, Cool Comfort, Premium Cooling, and Superior Cooling—as having a 1,250 thread count. Plaintiffs say this figure was inflated and did not reflect the actual quality of the fabric, violating federal and state consumer protection laws.

While American Textile has denied any wrongdoing, it agreed to settle the case and compensate eligible consumers.

Under the terms of the settlement, class members will receive $5 per Sealy product purchased during the class period. Those without proof of purchase can claim up to eight items, for a maximum payment of $40. Claims for more than eight products require valid documentation, such as receipts or bank statements.

Payments may be reduced depending on how many valid claims are submitted.

To qualify for compensation, class members must file a valid claim form by May 12, 2026. The deadline to request exclusion or object to the terms of the settlement is January 21, 2026, and the final approval hearing is scheduled for February 11, 2026.
