A class action lawsuit was filed against Saatva.com, alleging that the retailer misrepresented discounts on its mattresses, leading consumers to believe they were receiving significant discounts. Plaintiffs claim that Saatva’s deceptive advertising practices violated California and Oregon state laws by misleading customers into thinking they were getting a limited-time deal on products that were not actually on sale.
Saatva has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to an $11.5 million settlement to resolve the lawsuit.
Under the terms of the settlement, eligible class members will receive $115 per mattress order placed during the class period. Class members can choose to receive their settlement benefits in either:
- Cash, paid by check or electronic payment, or
- Store credit, which can be used for any purchase on Saatva.com.
There were approximately 100,000 mattress orders placed by settlement class members during the class period. To participate in the settlement and receive a $115 benefit, class members must meet the eligibility criteria and submit a valid claim by October 27, 2024.
