Evry Jewels has agreed to pay $3.5 million to settle claims that it deceptively advertised discounts on its website.

Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit argued that Evry Jewels violated consumer protection laws in California, Oregon, and Washington by creating the illusion of deep discounts.

According to the complaint, the retailer often displayed “original” prices that were inflated or not genuine, making the sale prices appear like limited-time bargains. Shoppers were led to believe they were receiving significant savings, when in fact the so-called discounts were simply the company’s regular pricing strategy.

Court filings allege that this practice, sometimes referred to as “false reference pricing,” misled customers into paying more for jewelry than they otherwise would have. By exaggerating discounts, Evry Jewels allegedly gained an unfair advantage in the highly competitive online fashion accessories market.

Evry Jewels, an online retailer selling rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and other accessories, has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement to resolve the claims and avoid further litigation.

What Class Members Can Receive

Class members who submit a valid claim form will be entitled to receive settlement benefits valued at $14 for each order placed during the class period. These benefits can be taken as a cash payment, distributed by check or electronic payment, or as store credit.

For those who do not file a claim, benefits will automatically be issued in the form of store credit that can be used toward future purchases with Evry Jewels.

The settlement ensures that consumers are compensated for each eligible purchase they made while in California, Oregon, or Washington, reflecting the amount they may have overpaid due to the alleged misleading discounts.
