About This Settlement

A class action lawsuit alleged that American Income Life Insurance Co. and Globe Life Inc. failed to adequately protect consumers' sensitive personal information, including alleged Social Security numbers and health insurance policy information, resulting in a data breach on or around October 2, 2024. Approximately 532,578 individuals who received notice letters about the breach may be affected. Who Qualifies

• You received a notice letter from American Income Life Insurance and/or Globe Life informing you that your personal information may have been involved in a data breach on or around October 2, 2024
• You are one of approximately 532,578 individuals identified as part of the settlement class
• For documented loss reimbursement (up to $5,000): you must provide supporting documentation such as telephone records, correspondence, and/or receipts showing losses related to the data breach
• For lost time reimbursement (up to $72): you may self-certify the time you spent responding to the data breach — no additional documentation is required
• For free credit monitoring: all eligible class members qualify and should have received a unique activation code in their notice letter

What You May Receive

Eligible class members may receive up to $5,000 for documented out-of-pocket losses related to the data breach, which may include bank fees, credit monitoring charges, professional fees, communication costs, and fraudulent charges. You may also receive up to $72 for lost time (estimated at up to four hours at $18 per hour), which can be self-certified. Additionally, all eligible class members may receive two years of free credit monitoring through CyEx Financial Shield Complete. Note that the credit monitoring benefit does not include an alternative cash payment option. Actual payout amounts are not guaranteed and may vary based on the number of valid claims submitted.

How to File a Claim

1. Visit the official settlement website at AILDataSettlement.com to access the claim form.
2. Confirm your eligibility by verifying that you received a notice letter from American Income Life Insurance and/or Globe Life regarding the October 2, 2024 data breach.
3. Complete the claim form in full, selecting the benefit(s) you are claiming — documented losses, lost time, and/or credit monitoring activation.
4. Gather and attach any required supporting documentation for documented loss claims, such as telephone records, correspondence, or receipts. If filing for lost time only, you may self-certify without additional documentation.
5. Submit your completed claim form by the deadline of October 19, 2026, through the settlement website at AILDataSettlement.com. Late claims may not be accepted.
