$15.2M Valsartan, Losartan & Irbesartan Settlement

U.S. individuals who paid for retail purchases of Aurobindo irbesartan (since Jan. 1, 2016), Hetero valsartan (May 1–July 31, 2018), or Vivimed losartan sold under specific impacted National Drug Codes may qualify.

Proof of purchase such as pharmacy receipts should be submitted if available to support your claim and may be required by the Settlement Administrator.

About This Settlement

A class action lawsuit alleged that blood pressure medications manufactured by Aurobindo (irbesartan), Hetero (valsartan), and Vivimed (losartan) were contaminated with nitrosamine impurities — including NDEA, NDMA, and NMBA — which are alleged to be human carcinogens. Plaintiffs further alleged that each manufacturer knew or should have known about the contamination but failed to warn consumers and retailers, causing consumers to allegedly overpay for the affected medications. The defendants have agreed to a $15.2 million settlement to resolve these claims; no finding of wrongdoing has been made. Who Qualifies

• You may be eligible to file a claim if you meet one of the following criteria:
• Aurobindo (Irbesartan): You paid for irbesartan medications manufactured using Aurobindo irbesartan active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) at any point since January 1, 2016.
• Hetero (Valsartan): You paid for valsartan medications manufactured using Hetero Process III API that were sold between May 1, 2018 and July 31, 2018.
• Vivimed (Losartan): You paid for losartan finished drug formulations sold under specific impacted National Drug Codes (NDCs) manufactured by Vivimed.
• Geographic Scope: This is a nationwide settlement open to eligible U.S. consumers.
• Proof of Purchase: Documentation such as pharmacy receipts may be required to qualify for higher reimbursement tiers. Claims without documentation may still be eligible for a standard payment amount (where applicable).

What You May Receive

The amount you may receive depends on which settlement group you belong to and whether you can provide documentation of your purchases:

• Aurobindo (Irbesartan) Class Members: You may receive an estimated cash payment of up to $100 based on the amount you paid for qualifying irbesartan medications. If you can provide documentation of your purchases, you may be eligible to receive up to $200. • Hetero (Valsartan) Class Members: You may receive up to $40 per 30-day supply purchased, with an estimated maximum total payment of $120. If your documented out-of-pocket costs for a 30-day supply exceeded $40, you may be eligible to receive a higher payment beyond the standard cap. • Vivimed (Losartan) Class Members: Individual payment amounts for Vivimed class members have not yet been specified. The allocation method is to be determined by Class Counsel and is subject to court review prior to final approval.

Actual payment amounts are not guaranteed and may vary based on total valid claims submitted, court approval, and the documentation you provide.

How to File a Claim

1. Visit the official settlement website at SartanMedicationSettlement.com to access the claim form and confirm your eligibility.
2. Complete the claim form by providing your personal information and details about the qualifying medication(s) you purchased, including the manufacturer (Aurobindo, Hetero, or Vivimed) and the relevant purchase dates.
3. Gather and submit supporting documentation if you are seeking a higher documentation-based reimbursement. Acceptable proof of purchase may include pharmacy receipts, insurance records, or other records showing the medication purchased and the amount paid.
4. Submit your completed claim form by the deadline of June 2, 2026. Late submissions may not be accepted. It is recommended that you file as early as possible to allow time to resolve any issues with your claim.
