A class action lawsuit alleged that Teva Pharmaceuticals violated antitrust laws by allegedly using tactics such as product hops, sham litigation, improper patent listings, and reverse payments to prevent lower-cost generic versions of QVAR from entering the market. As a result, plaintiffs alleged that consumers and third-party payors paid artificially inflated prices for QVAR and QVAR Redihaler asthma medications. Teva has not admitted any wrongdoing but has agreed to pay $35 million to resolve these allegations. This page is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.
Claimants may receive a cash payment from the $35 million settlement fund. The exact amount you may receive will vary based on the amount you paid for QVAR or QVAR Redihaler products during the eligible period. Claimants who submit valid proof of purchase — such as receipts, pharmacy statements, invoices, or insurance explanations of benefits — may receive a larger share of the net settlement fund than those who file without documentation. Individual payout amounts cannot be guaranteed and will depend on the total number of valid claims submitted.
