The lawsuit alleges Planet Nissan failed to implement sufficient cybersecurity measures, resulting in a data breach in June 2022, potentially affecting approximately 1,000 consumers. Planet Nissan has agreed to the settlement amount (undisclosed) to resolve the lawsuit, without admitting any wrongdoing.

- Up to $500 for documented unreimbursed expenses incurred between June 30, 2022, and July 1, 2024, related to the breach, such as bank fees, communication charges, credit monitoring costs, travel related to the breach, and lost time documented at $17.50 per hour (capped at 4 hours).
- Up to $4,750 for documented extraordinary losses due to fraud or identity theft stemming from the breach, occurring within the timeframe of June 30, 2022, to July 1, 2024, with proof of reasonable steps taken to prevent or recover losses.
- All eligible class members who submit a claim form can receive years of free credit monitoring along with $1 million in identity theft insurance.
